Maggie Thomas, RD, CSP

REGISTERED DIETICIAN

I am a registered dietitian who shares the powerful tool of nutrition as a support for both mental and physical health.

From infancy through young adulthood, my approach is highly individualized, focusing on small, sustainable changes to nutrition habits that can make a meaningful difference over time. I strive to help individuals better understand the crucial role nutrition plays in mental health and the treatment of conditions such as anxiety and depression —while finding realistic ways to implement change within everyday life.

I am also a board-certified specialist in pediatric nutrition and provide support for infants and young children, including guidance on infant feeding, food intolerances, growth concerns, and the transition to solids. My goal is to help make the postpartum period feel more supported and less overwhelming for parents.

About Me

My interest in nutrition began during my collegiate running career, where I witnessed firsthand the profound impact undernutrition can have on both the body and the mind. Many of my teammates struggled with injuries and mental health challenges that improved once they began fueling adequately. Since then, I’ve continued to see the powerful connection between nourishment and brain health, particularly through my work with eating disorder patients and individuals experiencing anxiety and depression.

I earned my Master of Science in Human Nutrition and completed my dietetic internship at Texas State University, and I hold a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Michigan State University.

Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time outdoors—biking, running, or walking my hyperactive dog whenever the weather allows. My husband and I love exploring new food spots around the metro Detroit area, and we’re big believers that food brings people together.
